Figuretoon Toy Review (Page 5)
Post:June 15, 2009

Okay, so that's it, commentary time. This one doesn't hold up too well. Some of the jokes are terribly dated. Who remembers Mr.T doing television ads for a collect-phone-call company? I can't even remember which one it was. Oddly enough the "Can you hear me now?" slogan is still going strong. I didn't realize it was that old.

I still like the 'video wall' though. It was a lot of effort to come up with new images and do all the digital manipulation for each panel and I think it still looks good. My favorite is the Warhol-esque multi-colored Spideys in this frame. I also like the fact that once the Upstanding Kubrick Businessmen start talking with Kingpin, we never see him again.

Oh, I've got nothing against McFarlane toys or their fans. This Morpheus figure was the last toy I purchased before making this toon. In fact he's still sitting on shelf in my toy room, being all intimidating and stuff.

I really regret the potty humor there at the end.

I should have made a butt plug joke instead.
